I offer a range of in person coaching and therapy sessions in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ferndown and surrounding areas of Dorset.
Different environments can support different types of thinking, emotional processing and personal change. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, sessions can be adapted to suit your preferences and the type of work we are doing.
Whether you prefer the calm of nature, the flow of a walking session, or the privacy of a dedicated room, we can choose an option that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
Sessions in Nature
Working outdoors can provide a sense of space, calm and perspective that is often harder to access in indoor environments.
Being in nature has been shown to support wellbeing, reduce stress and help regulate the nervous system. Many people find that natural surroundings make it easier to slow down, reflect and think more clearly.
The open, expansive environment can also help shift perspective, making challenges feel more manageable and supporting new ways of thinking.
Nature-based sessions may be particularly helpful if you:
- feel overwhelmed or mentally busy
- want space to reflect and gain clarity
- find indoor environments restrictive
- benefit from fresh air and natural surroundings
Examples include beaches, parks and other outdoor spaces across Bournemouth, Poole Christchurch and the surrounding Dorset area.
Walk and Talk Therapy Sessions
Walk and talk sessions combine movement with conversation, offering a more natural and dynamic alternative to sitting in a fixed space.
Many people find that thinking feels easier when they are moving. Walking can help thoughts flow more freely, reduce mental pressure and make it easier to explore ideas or challenges without feeling stuck.
The gentle, rhythmic movement of walking may also provide a form of bilateral stimulation, which can support the brain in processing thoughts, emotions and experiences more fluidly.
Walking side-by-side rather than sitting face-to-face can also feel more comfortable for some people, particularly when discussing personal or emotional topics.
Walk and talk sessions may be especially helpful if you:

Public Spaces (Café Sessions)
Meeting in a café can provide a relaxed and informal environment, which some people find helps them feel more at ease.
I typically choose venues with quieter areas or booth seating where possible, to provide a greater sense of comfort and privacy.
Café sessions are often well suited to:
- life coaching
- some NLP-based work
- EFT
They are generally less suitable for deeper subconscious work such as hypnotherapy.
Private Room Sessions
For clients who prefer a more private and contained environment, I can arrange dedicated therapy rooms.
These spaces are particularly beneficial for:
- hypnotherapy
- deeper emotional work
- sessions where privacy and minimal distraction are important
Private rooms offer a calm, focused setting where you can fully relax and engage with the process.
Additional room hire costs may apply, and we can discuss options based on your preferences.
